The Levenhuk Fatum Z500 thermo vision monocular is a perfectly balanced device for performance and reliability. It can be used for all outdoor activities: nighttime patrolling, security and search operations, hunting, forestry, hiking, and sports games. Designed in a compact format, easy to travel with, fits comfortably in the hand, and can even be used in poor weather conditions.
You can observe at magnifications from 1.7x to 6.8x, and the digital zoom is smooth, providing more observational freedom. The microbolometer matrix has a resolution of 400x300pix and a total of 6 basic color palettes available. There is a hot spot detection function.
When it comes to detection and distance recognition ranges, the thermo vision monocular performs very well. Large objects, such as a car, can be spotted at a distance of up to 1700m (5570ft), and the classic hunting targets (wild boar, deer, etc.) at a distance of 450–590m (1500–1900ft). A target can be illuminated by a laser designator; the operating range is limited to 200m (650ft).
The power source is a block of two non-removable rechargeable batteries with a total capacity of 6000mAh. Due to them, the thermo vision monocular can work intensively for up to 5 hours. Among the design features are a tripod mount (1/4" thread) and a waterproof body (IP66 protection rating).
The thermo vision monocular is equipped with a built-in recorder; the memory of the device (16GB available) stores the footage. There is also a rangefinder, which can be used to determine the distance to different objects. This feature will be especially helpful during camping and hunting. There is an microHDMI port, Type-C port, and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for pairing with external devices. The thermo vision monocular supports the TargetIR mobile app, which can be used to adjust the settings, organize photo and video galleries, or display the image on a smartphone screen to show it to a group of people.
