Hallo. I would like to know theadvantages of this microscope in comparison with cheaper models… What can I see through it (in blood, for example)?
Customer service:
The advantages of Levenhuk 320 Microscope are that it has better optics, halogen illumination, immersion lens, and a lifetime warranty. Using maximum magnification, you can see all three types of blood cells in motion.
Eric Bender (2018.05.08)
Is this incandescent bulb a standard halogen lamp that can be bought at any store? or special one? How many W?
Customer service:
In Levenhuk 320 Microscope, a standard halogen lamp is used (6 V / 20 W).
Hope Kondr (2018.04.06)
I’m comparing this model with Levenhuk 700M. As I understand, objectives are identical, eyepieces are different: 16x against 20x in 700M, and 700M also has LED lighting, right? If these are all the main differences, why there’s such a difference in prices? will image quality be the same at equal magnification?
Customer service:
If 1600x magnification of the Levenhuk 320 Microscope is enough for your purposes, then you can opt for this model. Image quality will be the same at equal magnifications.
Andrew Kaufman (2018.03.06)
what can you say about image quality at 1600x? Is it light and sharp enough?
Customer service:
Levenhuk 320 Microscope produces sharp and clear images at any magnification power.

Hello! Can I additionally buy an upper illuminator? Do you have it in stock?
Customer service:
Levenhuk 320 Microscope is designed for observations of transparent samples. The upper illumination is not provided.
Christina (2017.09.28)
Good afternoon. Could you tell please if you have a microscope with similar characteristics and in the same price range, but with upper and lower illumination? Thanks
Customer service:
Levenhuk 320 monocular microscope is suitable for observing biological samples. You can also use the upper illumination with this microscope. It`s enough to lighten the sample with a small flashlight. You should use the microscope at the lowest magnification when observing in reflected light (with the upper illumination). And the field of view will be small enough, as this microscope suits is suitable for observing transparent samples.
If you want to observe objects in reflected light at big large magnifications, you will need a stereo microscope. Consider the Levenhuk 5ST binocular microscope

Customer service:
The body and moving elements of the Levenhuk 320 microscope are made of metal.
Harvey (2014.01.15)
I recently purchased the 320 biological microscope. I like the build quality. However there appears to be a mould-like substance on the eye piece optics. It's in both the pieces provided in the kit. When I change the objective lenses it is still there. I have also cleaned the condenser lens. What should I do? Can you send replacement eye pieces? I'm happy to provide my receipt of course. Many thanks.
Customer service:
Dear Harvey,
Please let us know when and where the microscope was bought.
Looking forward to your reply.
Steve (2014.01.03)
How to use oil-immersion objective properly?
Customer service:
When using 100x objective lens, you must fill the space between the surface of the test sample and the front surface of the lens with immersion oil (without air bubbles).
Hailey Mitchell (2013.12.30)
Is it possible to attach Levenhuk C-Series camera to a PC with Android and how?

Hi. I want to order this microscope as a gift for my boyfriend. Is there any need for assembling the microscope? Or he can use it right after he takes it out of the box?Is it possible to observe opaque samples under Levenhuk 320? Or it’s just for fluids? Thank you.
Customer service:
No additional skills or preparations are required to start your observations. Unfortunately there is no possibility of studing opaque samples with this model, you need an additional illumination source for this. You can find microscopes with double illumination here:
https://eu.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/dual/
Michael Humberson (2013.11.14)
Can I see ice crystals under Levenhuk 320 microscope? Thanks.
Customer service:
Levenhuk 320 Biological Microscope allows you to conduct such observations.
Michael Humberson (2013.11.13)
Please suggest a microscope at a reasonable price, so I can distinguish germs and DNA. Oh, and so the images would be high-quality.
Customer service:
Germs and DNA can be distinguished only by using electron microscopes which are very expensive ($20.000 and higher). Through the use of biological microscopes (e.g. Levenhuk 320) you can see the cell, cell structure, microorganisms, blood components, etc. Germs and bacteria are not visible through regular microscopes.
Tony Hill (2013.11.04)
Good day. The website reads that the optics is made of glass and has a multi-layer coating. Two days ago I got three of these microscopes, so 'bout the coating, I'm not sure there is even one layer of coating. Out of curiosity I completely disassembled one eyepiece, and besides that the lenses were a bit dingy (but only in one eyepiece out of 6), they were without any coating, and flares on their surfaces were very bright, the same goes for the objectives btw. I would like this incorrect information to be deleted from the characteristics of the microscope (and don't try to tell me that there is a multi-layer coating, because when it's there you can see it immediately! Although in the pictures you can see the coating, but unfortunately not in reality). I've also got one more question about eyepieces: I read somewhere that the field of view of 10x is 18 mm, and of 16x is 15 mm, at the same time there were 10/15 mm and 16/11 mm in the kit. I mean how is that possible? Furthermore, if it's a biological microscope, then there has to be an option of installing a dark field condenser, but it's impossible with this microscope. Why do you say it's biological then? And why did you recommend it to me? I almost got fired by my dean. And how on earth are students supposed to study the blood with it? In general, there is a question whether it's possible to exchange or return it.
Customer service:
Optics is coated, not every coating is visible with the naked eye, and flares are also not the right criteria to determine it. Dark field condenser can't be installed on this model indeed, for this you need more advanced model. As for the return/exchange question please contact our Customer Service Department here
https://eu.levenhuk.com/company/contact-us/
Archie (2013.10.05)

Why does a microscope need condenser? Where do I put an optical filter?
Customer service:
Condenser's optical system is meant for gathering and concentrating light entering the microscope. Condenser is located between an observed specimen (i. e. microscope's stage) and illumination system (i. e. light source). Learning and simple models more often than not have non-retrievable fixed condensers.

Good evening I have no oil so I don't use it I know I need to. One more little question: can I buy an objective alone for this model?
Customer service:
When using 100x oil immersion objective lens it is necessary to use immersion oil. Unfortunately, objective lenses are currently not in our product range
Alex 90 (2013.06.10)
How to adjust a microscope correctly for observing at magnifications of 40x and 100x? And how to use an immersion oil the right way during observations under 100x magnification?
Customer service:
You can adjust a view with fine and coarse focusing screws. Immersion oil is a special type of oil that is used with 100x objective lenses (usually at a full magnification of 1000x). You need to place a drop of immersion oil on the cover glass and lower objective lens so it touches the drop. Immersion oil works as binding medium between cover glass and objective lens and thus increases image resolution. There are two types of immersion oil used in light microscopy - type A and type B, they differ in viscosity (type B is more viscous).
Frank Miles (2013.05.23)
Hi there! Tell me how I can observe germs with this microscope at home?
Customer service:

1 - Can I use WF20x eyepiece with Levenhuk 320 microscope? How much is it if I want to order it separately?2 - Can I use 100x objective without a drop of immersion oil? Will it provide 1600x magnification?3 - Is it possible to use immersion oil with 40x objective? What will it give?
Customer service:
1. Yes, you can, but, unfortunately, we don't have this eyepiece in our assortment.
2. No, you can not. The oil immersion objective (usually 100x or more) is designed for use with a drop of special oil, placed between it and the specimen.
3. It is impossible, because the objective should touch the drop of oil.
