Description

MAGUS Stereo A8 is a research grade stereomicroscope. This model works with three-dimensional objects and creates their image in 3D: The researcher has the opportunity to examine the topographical features of the object and estimate its dimensions in three dimensions. The microscope works with transparent and opaque specimens; for this purpose, it is equipped with illuminators for transmitted and reflected light.
The microscope is designed according to the CMO (Common Main Objective) system. It features a large field of view, image display without geometric distortion as well as high resolution and a high level of color rendering. Additional accessories can add extra functionality to the microscope.
The MAGUS Stereo A8 model is suitable for forensic examination, medical, biological, archaeological research, for work in the field of microelectronics, materials science, and for industrial quality control.

The microscope has a binocular head, with the tubes installed at a 20 degree angle. They do not have a diopter adjustment system: If you need to adjust the sharpness to suit your particular vision, use eyepieces with a diopter adjustment ring. You can install a digital camera in the microscope head: mounted in the intermediate attachment, it will require a C-mount adapter.

In a CMO system stereomicroscope, two optical channels that pass through the eyepiece tubes join in the main objective. It is located at right angles to the plane of the observation object, which means the image of the object is not deformed. The stereoscopic angle is 11 degrees: The object is visible in three dimensions. The MAGUS Stereo A8 model is equipped with a plan achromatic objective with 1x magnification. The plan achromatic objective corrects spherical and chromatic distortions; the working distance of the microscope is 78mm.

The zoom objective in the tubes simultaneously changes magnification and focal length, constantly maintaining a clear and focused image of the object. The image is initially formed in a direct, non-inverted form. The zoom ratio of the MAGUS Stereo A8 microscope is 8:1.

You can adjust the focused image using the focusing knobs. They are located coaxially. The travel tension can be adjusted.

The specimen stage is equipped with two plates. The transparent plate is used for transparent and translucent samples and for studies in transmitted light. It helps to achieve even illumination of the subject. The black-and-white plate serves as a background for opaque objects depending on contrast: Light samples are examined on a black substrate, and dark ones on a white one.

The illumination source in the microscope is LEDs. There are two illuminators: transmitted light (6W) and reflected oblique light (3W). The operating life of the LEDs is 50,000 hours.

Accessories in the microscope can be swapped to achieve the desired technical characteristics. Eyepieces affect the magnification. The main objective is intended for magnification, working distance, and field of view width. To take measurements when examining an object, you can use calibration slides with a division value of 0.1mm.
