Description

Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope – is a true find for an inquisitive child. It has everything that a young scientist dreams of, and comes with 100 useful accessories! Prepared microscope slides, blanks slides and cover slips, tools for sample preparation, materials for experiments – beginning biologists or chemists will be able to demonstrate all of their scientific talents.

One of the most exciting features of the Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope is its eyepiece projector. Using it, you can show images to your friends and family. Simply install the microscope in a dark room and direct the projector on a wall or a blank sheet of paper.

Another advantage of the Levenhuk LabZZ M3 model is its rich experiment kit and many useful accessories for observations and sample preparation. These let children turn their bedrooms into a real science lab!

The microscope produces several fixed magnifications in the 300x–1200x magnification range. They can be easily changed without interrupting observations – all you need to do is turn the microscope’s revolving nosepiece. Illumination is located below the stage – that means you can observe any transparent microscope samples. Illumination runs on batteries (not included). If the external lighting is sufficient, you can use the built-in mirror to illuminate the sample.

The metal body can significantly extend the instrument’s service life. The kit also includes a convenient and durable case for safe storage.

  • Magnification up to 1200x

Hi, can you please tell me more about which cameras can be used with the camera adapter? It is not described in the manual. Can any smartphones be used? Thank you.
Customer service:
Ong, it is an universal adapter. The width is 2.9 in or 74 mm. Is there any additional information you might need?
Ong P. (2019.04.26)
Hi, in the picture of the grey carrying case, the microscope is to the right, with projecor at the top.To the left of the microscope, there is a green reverse E-shape thing near the hinge. It is not part of the projector. Is that a smartphone adapter? If not, where is the smartphone adapter in the picture?
Customer service:
Dear Ong, yes, it is a camera adapter. Is there any additional information you might need?
Ong P. (2019.04.26)
What is the plastic thing with a hole in the middle, directly to the left of the microscope? What is it used for?
Customer service:
Dear Ong, thank you for interest in Levenhuk products! It is an eyepiece projector that allows you to project images received by the microscope lens on any flat surface. You can also use the microscope without it as a standard biological microscope. Is there any additional information you might need?
Tim Ming (2018.01.02)
hello! The microscope is truly great! Very happy with our choice! It is not only interesting for a kid, but for us adults as well. Projector is not that impressive as we thought it would be, visual observations through the eyepiece win. The only thing we didn‘t get is how to dilute the dyes included in the package? in what proportion?
Customer service:
Thank you for your feedback on Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope! The proportions should be chosen individually for each sample.
Kirri (2017.12.23)
Can I install upper illumination to view opaque samples?
Customer service:
To view opaque samples, you will need to illuminate a sample pointwise. You can use a small flashlight for that.
Margaret (2017.12.15)

Customer service:
Yes, you can observe samples from the Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Kit under Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope.
Isaak (2017.10.31)
Is this model equipped with plastic or glass optics? The description says that it is glass, but I saw the opposite somewhere in reviews…
Customer service:
The optics of Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope are made of optical glass.
Kira (2017.10.29)
Can I use slides and coverslips more than once?
Customer service:
Slides and coverslips are better used only once, but multiple use is also permitted. In case of multiple use, they should be washed very carefully with soap and disinfecting solutions, rinsed with running water, and some of them should also be degreased immediately before use (for example, rubbed with a cotton pad dampened with 96% alcohol).
Eugene Watt (2017.08.24)
Can I see spermatozoa using this microscope?
Customer service:
In order to see spermatozoa you will need a Levenhuk 320 monocular microscope. https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-320-base-biological-monocular-microscope/
Aaron Foster (2017.05.14)

Hello. Could you, please, tell me, what kind of optics is used? And what it is better to choose for a 13 year old child?
Customer service:
The Levenhuk LabZZ M3 microscope has glass optics. We would recommend that you pay attention to the school models, for example: the Levenhuk Rainbow 2L microscope https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-rainbow-2l-microscope/
Curtis Barret (2017.01.14)

Kurt Ochoa (2016.12.21)
I'm 11 years old and biology is my passion:) should I order this microscope?
Customer service:
Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope is a wonderful instrument for a first acquaintance. For your age we would recommend more advanced models. For example, Levenhuk Rainbow 2L Microscope (https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-rainbow-2l-microscope/ ).
Monica Kline (2016.12.11)
will I be able to see opaque samples?
Customer service:
Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope is not suitable for viewing opaque samples, as it doesn't have upper illumination. Please consider Levenhuk LabZZ M101 Microscope - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-labzz-m101-microscope/ .
Jaime Stout (2016.12.03)
will I be able to make pictures?
Customer service:
Levenhuk LabZZ M3 is an optical microscope - it won't allow you to make photos or videos. The microscope is designed for children and their first experiments. If you are interested in digital microscopes, pay attention to Levenhuk Rainbow D2L 0.3M Digital Microscope, Moonstone - https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-rainbow-d2l-0-3m-digital-microscope/ .
David Foreman (2016.11.17)
Could you please specify the type of illumination on this microscope? Mirror or incandescent lamp, or LED? Eyepiece projector is just a system of mirrors without any active illumination, right? Will the projected images be bright enough? Almost a year ago I bought the 2l model for my daughter, she really liked using it. So now we'd like to organize a special 'science area' in her kindergarten... Therefore I'm looking for a microscope that will be great for group observations. Should I choose this one?
Customer service:
Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope is equipped with mirror and LED illumination. The projector has a mirror coating. Produced images won't be very bright. It's better to observe in daylight. In terms of quality and design, the M3 model is way more simpler than the 2L microscope. For your purpose we would recommend Levenhuk Rainbow D2L 0.3M Digital Microscope, Moonstone
(https://www.levenhuk.com/catalogue/microscopes/levenhuk-rainbow-d2l-0-3m-digital-microscope/ ). This model is convenient for group work as it is equipped with a digital camera that allows for real-time observations on a PC monitor.
Natalie Goff (2016.11.04)
Hello! Doe the kit include brine shrimp? If not, can I buy them separately? What's their price?
Customer service:
Levenhuk LabZZ M3 Microscope kit doesn't include brine shrimp. Unfortunately, we don't sell brine shrimp separately.
Natalie Goff (2016.11.04)
Tell me please if the eyepiece tube can be inclined at 45 degrees (when projector is removed)? If compare this model to m101 model, this one wins considering its 1200x magnification power... right? which one would you recommend for a 9 yo kid?
Customer service:
Yes, the eyepiece tube can be inclined at a 45-degree angle. Levenhuk LabZZ M101 Microscope will be preferable considering its optics and build quality.
Guy Coleman (2016.10.22)
Which microscope will be the best for a 7 yo kid? Levenhuk Rainbow 2L or Levenhuk LabZZ M3?
Customer service:
Considering their quality, Levenhuk Rainbow 2L will be a better choice.
Ed Cox (2016.10.14)
Can I use the microscope without the eyepiece projector? Is it suitable for a 6 yo child?
Customer service:
Yes, Levenhuk LabZZ M3 can be used without the eyepiece projector. A 6 years old child can use it with a little help of adults when adjusting the instrument.
