Levenhuk Nelson 8x30 Marine Binoculars are a modern model with quality optics designed especially to be used next to the water. A great choice for fishermen, owners of small boats and yachts, and sportsmen. These binoculars provide 8x magnification and are great for observing distant objects. The close focus distance is only three meters; you can approach the shore and study the coastline without leaving the boat.
The binoculars’ design uses classic Porro prisms. Classic optics are made of BaK-4 glass. The lenses are fully coated with multiple layers of anti-reflective coating to form a saturated and clear image.
The durable embossed shell is made of plastic. The rubber coating protects these binoculars from accidental hits and provides a convenient grip. The nitrogen filling of the shell prevents the lenses from fogging. Levenhuk Nelson 8x30 Marine Binoculars comes in a waterproof floating body: if they accidentally plunge into the water, they will not sink, and the lenses and prisms will not be damaged. The binoculars come with a bright floating strap that will protect you from losing your binoculars in the water.
The twist-up eyecups are especially convenient for people who wear glasses. The interpupillary distance is easily adjusted by moving the binoculars’ tubes closer together or farther apart until you see a single circular field. The diopter adjustment of the eyepieces is available. Each tube of the binoculars has individual focusing; there is no central focusing wheel. There is a special tripod socket on the binoculars’ body.
The binoculars’ shell features a built-in compass and a rangefinder. You can see the rangefinder scale in the eyepieces. The compass indicates the direction towards the object. Division value is 1°. North is 360°, South is 180°, East is 90° and West is 270°. The compass features illumination that runs on batteries.
The rangefinder is used for calculating the size (height) of the observed object or the distance to it. You can calculate an unknown parameter based on the rangefinder’s indications, using a special formula.
