Description

The Levenhuk New Skyline PLUS 90/900 AZ3 is an achromatic refractor that is primarily designed for exploring our Solar System, although it also opens the door to many deep-sky objects. Through this telescope, you can catch the phases of Mercury, study lunar craters, spot the Cassini Division in Saturn’s rings, and track the moons orbiting Jupiter. It also reveals double stars, dozens of nebulae, and every object in the Messier catalog. With its solid optical performance and comprehensive set of included accessories, this telescope will delight even an experienced astronomer.

Advanced optics

The 90mm fully multi-coated objective lens ensures bright, high-contrast images even when you are hunting down faint objects. With a 900mm focal length, you can push the magnification without sacrificing clarity. The telescope comes with 10mm and 25mm eyepieces, giving you magnifications of 90x and 36x, respectively. An erecting prism delivers a correctly oriented image, so you can also use the tool for terrestrial viewing. It works just like a spotting scope, with everything right-side up and not mirror-reversed. A 6x30 optical finderscope with a wide field helps you locate targets quickly.

AZ3 alt-azimuth mount

The telescope sits on an AZ3 alt-azimuth mount that is equipped with flexible slow-motion controls. These let you pan smoothly along both axes as you track objects moving across the sky. The mount features a high payload capacity and holds the telescope securely in place once you have found your target.

Built for more than just looking

This telescope is also a great match for entry-level astrophotography. The focuser includes a T-thread for attaching a DSLR camera. A sturdy aluminum tripod keeps vibrations to a minimum, and the accessory tray holds all the necessary accessories within easy reach. The legs are height-adjustable from 710mm to 1210mm, making it easy to adapt the telescope to the observer’s height or the given terrain.

Key features:

  • Powerful optics with a 90mm aperture multi-coated objective lens and 900mm focal length deliver great views of nearby planets and distant galaxies
  • Smooth AZ3 alt-azimuth mount with slow-motion controls makes tracking objects effortless
  • Erecting prism provides a correctly oriented image, so you can also use this telescope for terrestrial observations
  • T-thread makes it possible to attach a DSLR camera and for you to try your hand at astrophotography (with additional accessories)
