Discovery Channel informs, entertains and inspires its audiences around the globe about the world in all its wonder, diversity and amazement. Offering millions of people the chance to discover, and satisfy their curiosity, Discovery offers a compelling mix of stories across genres including science and technology, exploration, adventure, history and in depth behind-the-scenes glimpses at the people, places and organisations that shape and share the world we live in.

We proudly present the Discovery optics series that is produced by Levenhuk and endorsed by Discovery.

The Levenhuk Discovery Spark 709 EQ is a great choice for beginners. This long-focus refractor with achromatic optics will enable you to see the planets of the solar system, study the relief of the Moon in detail, and observe some deep-sky objects. During the day, the telescope may serve as a spotting scope, magnifying distant objects, and allowing you to observe nature.

One of the advantages of the model is the equatorial mount with slow-motion control. It will help you master the precise pointing and tracking of objects. As for the optics, they are achromatic, i.e., free of color distortion, which is often common in refractors. The lenses are coated with an anti-reflective coating, the image is clear and crisp. You can make observations at different focal lengths. The kit includes three eyepieces, a diagonal mirror, an erect image eyepiece for terrestrial observation, and a powerful Barlow lens.

You can place all the accessories conveniently on a tray in the center of the tripod so that they are always at hand. The telescope has a standard 1.25" focuser so you can experiment with a wide range of optional accessories, if needed. Another special feature of the Levenhuk Discovery Spark 709 EQ is the knowledge book “Space. Non-empty emptiness”. This illustrated handbook will help you learn a lot about the sky before you start observing or refresh your existing knowledge.
