Discovery Channel informs, entertains and inspires its audiences around the globe about the world in all its wonder, diversity and amazement. Offering millions of people the chance to discover, and satisfy their curiosity, Discovery offers a compelling mix of stories across genres including science and technology, exploration, adventure, history and in depth behind-the-scenes glimpses at the people, places and organisations that shape and share the world we live in.

We proudly present the Discovery optics series that is produced by Levenhuk and endorsed by Discovery.

The Levenhuk Discovery Spark 114 AZ is a Newtonian reflector telescope that is perfect for studying deep-sky objects. You can use it to observe nebulae, star clusters, and double stars. It is also ready to explore the space objects (within Saturn). The telescope comes with an illustrated book of knowledge. It will become a wonderful guide for beginner astronomers that will bring the mysterious universe closer.

The Levenhuk Discovery Spark 114 AZ telescope tube is pointed by a fork alt-azimuth mount. The mount has a lock knob for precise and smooth vertical movements. The mirror has a spherical shape, the optics are made of glass with an anti-reflective coating. With a 900mm focal length, the telescope can “reach” even dim deep-sky objects and produce an image that is clear, sharp, and crisp.

The mount is installed on a sturdy metal tripod with adjustable legs. The accessory tray is in the center of a tripod. The kit includes eyepieces with different focal lengths and a Barlow lens, which provides many possibilities for observing at different magnifications. You can add other accessories to the telescope, if needed: The popular 1.25" eyepiece diameter allows for the installation of other additional accessories.

Key features:

  • Reflector for studying deep-sky objects, a spherical primary mirror
  • Alt-azimuth fork mount with a lock knob
  • Glass optics with an anti-reflective coating
  • Rack and pinion focuser, standard eyepiece barrel diameter
  • An informative encyclopedia for aspiring astronomers (included)

The kit includes:

  • Telescope optical tube
  • SR 4mm eyepiece
  • H 12.5mm eyepiece
  • H 20mm eyepiece
  • Finder 6x30
  • 2x Barlow lens
  • Alt-azimuth mount
