Discovery Channel informs, entertains and inspires its audiences around the globe about the world in all its wonder, diversity and amazement. Offering millions of people the chance to discover, and satisfy their curiosity, Discovery offers a compelling mix of stories across genres including science and technology, exploration, adventure, history and in depth behind-the-scenes glimpses at the people, places and organisations that shape and share the world we live in.

We proudly present the Discovery optics series that is produced by Levenhuk and endorsed by Discovery.

Levenhuk Discovery Sky T50 Telescope is a refractor well-suited for beginner level astronomical use. It does not require any special setting as it is easy-to-handle and equipped with everything necessary for observations, and the knowledge book “Space. Non-empty emptiness” is included. The telescope is ideal for the Moon and terrestrial object observations. You can also look at many of the near space objects, but finer details will not be seen. The telescope is packaged in a colorful brand name box, making it an excellent gift.

The telescope reveals its strong points straight out of the box. Two different focus eyepieces and a Barlow lens make it possible to use a telescope with the highest practical power, and a diagonal mirror makes terrestrial observations more comfortable. An optical finderscope helps the observer to aim precisely at the desired objects.

The AZ mount has a turning knob so that the telescope can be rotated up, down, left, and right. The tripod is made of aluminum-alloy, and the legs can be adjusted individually so you can create a stable mounting platform on almost any surface.

The knowledge book “Space. Non-empty emptiness” is a pleasant and useful bonus. Written in vivid language and supplemented with colorful illustrations, the book describes a variety of astronomical objects: the Sun, planets and their satellites, meteors and comets, distant stars, and much more. The book will teach you the basics of astronomical observations and how to navigate the sky. It will also explain how a telescope is designed.
