Description

The Levenhuk 5x Barlow lens is a three-element apochromat with a multilayer coating of all the optical elements that increase the magnification of any telescope fivefold. This lens effectively eliminates optical distortion and creates a clear and sharp image across the entire field of view. It is compatible with any telescope or eyepiece. It also features a filter thread.

The barrel diameter is 1.25". This diameter is the most common, and so there will be no compatibility problems.

This combination allows you to get the magnification of 238x.

Eyepieces are fine, but their capabilities are still limited. I see Saturn for instance as a small pea. Astronomical programs at the same time show that with 5x Barlow lens and 4 mm eyepiece it's possible to see detailed images of Saturn... Or will image be distorted too much?

The maximum useful magnification of your telescope is 300x. And with both 4 mm eyepiece and 5x Barlow Lens your telescope will produce 1520x. So yes, unfortunately image quality will be poor and you won't be able to see a thing.

Dear Michael, thank you for interest in Levenhuk products. Unfortunately, the Levenhuk 5x Barlow lens is currently out of stock.
But the 5x Barlow lens will not fit your telescope as the highest useful magnification of your telescope is 560x. With the 5x Barlow lens and 23mm eyepiece (which comes with your telescope) it will reach 608x. If you go beyond 560x, image quality will be become poorer and blurred. In order to get the highest useful magnification, you need a 5mm eyepiece. We have a 6.3 mm eyepiece in stock, the magnification will be 445x in this case.

Levenhuk 5x Barlow Lens + 25mm eyepiece + Levenhuk Skyline 70x700 telescope altogether provide the magnification of 140x. The image won't be blurred but you have to keep in mind that the only way to get the clearest and high-quality images is by using an eyepiece alone, without any Barlow lenses. In your case consider using the Levenhuk Ra LER 5 mm eyepiece
