Description

The objective is installed on a polarizing microscope and it operates in transmitted polarized light conditions. It is equipped with optics without distortion and internal strain so that lens features do not affect the observation results.

The plan achromatic objective eliminates optical distortions: chromatic for blue and red colors and spherical for green. A characteristic property of these objectives is a 90% corrected field of view curvature. The image is displayed equally well both in the center and in the peripheral zone of the observation field. Therefore, the objective is suitable for use with digital cameras (you can get images with a wide field of view) and it works well with wide-field eyepieces with a 22mm field of view.

The MAGUS SF5 objective is designed for an infinity-corrected optical system. The parfocal distance is 45mm. The sample should be covered with a 0.17mm thick cover glass.

The useful magnification of a microscope when installing a 5x objective will be from 60x to 120x, depending on the magnification of the eyepiece. Eyepieces of 10x to 25x are recommended. A higher magnification will not provide new data, and a magnification of less than 60x will not allow you to examine the object in detail.
