Description

Levenhuk Skyline Travel Sun 50 is a universal telescope for traveling and long walks. This compact refractor will be perfect for beginner astronomers of all ages. It is suitable for observing the planets of the Solar system and the Moon as well as for terrestrial observations – it comes with a diagonal prism included. It delivers an upright (undistorted) image and also refracts the optical axis of the telescope, proving convenient for observing the objects located high above the horizon.

This small refractor will also be great for solar observations – the kit includes a protective solar filter. You must be very careful when observing solar activity. Always make sure a solar filter is securely attached to the telescope tube. The filter must completely cover the aperture. Never look at the Sun and bright area of the sky around it through the finder scope.

Multi-coated lenses with anti-reflective coating ensure high image quality. The kit includes 45x and 18x eyepieces with an eyepiece tube diameter of 1.25". 3x Barlow lens that comes in the kit together with included eyepieces allows for obtaining 135x magnification.

Operating an altazimuth telescope mount does not require any special knowledge or skills: just move the optical tube along vertical and horizontal axes. Such mounts are suitable for landscape observations as well. A convenient finder scope will help you quickly navigate the sky or find a terrestrial object. This telescope is very easy to operate and does not require complicated setup. The mount is installed on a lightweight aluminum tripod. You can adjust the tripod’s height in the range from 40 cm to 125 cm.

A rich kit allows you to start observing right after purchasing. Besides, the kit includes a branded convenient backpack. It is large enough for a telescope and all necessary accessories.

CAUTION! Never look directly at the Sun without a special protective solar filter, or permanent eye damage may result, even up to total blindness!
