Description

Objective with 40x magnification and a maximum resolution of 0.46µm. It is designed for installation in a metallurgical microscope. It can be used to observe objects with a non-flat surface. To avoid damaging the lens surface in such conditions, the objective is designed for a long working distance of 3.98mm. A cover glass is not used when working with the objective.

The plan achromatic objective eliminates chromatic distortion for blue and red colors, and spherical distortion for green. The field of view is wide and without distortion due to the property of plan achromatic objectives to correct field curvature by 90%.

The objective is designed for infinity; its parfocality is 45mm. It works well with eyepieces with a wide field of view (22mm). The best image detail can be obtained with eyepieces with magnification from 7x to 15x. When combined with a 10x/22mm eyepiece, it will form a field of view of 0.55mm. The useful magnification of the microscope when working with this objective will be 300–600x.
