Description

The Levenhuk M300 BASE Digital Camera is a great way to capture important moments of scientific research. With its help, you can study microscope samples on a computer, take pictures of samples and record video clips. The 3-megapixel camera has a resolution up to 2048x1536 pixels. This image quality is good enough to print photos.

The camera has a standard diameter of 23.2mm, so you can install it on any modern microscope. To use it with eyepiece tubes of other diameters, just purchase an adapter. A standard USB cable (included) is used to connect the camera to the computer. In addition, the camera is controlled using special Levenhuk software (included), which allows you to change the modes of photo and video shooting, crop frames, and adjust the brightness and contrast of the picture.

The Levenhuk M300 BASE camera is an accessory that is useful for every fan of microbiology. It allows you to join the world of microphotography and share your interesting findings with friends and like-minded people.

The kit includes a CD with special software that allows you to edit previously saved images: zoom them, crop them, change the contrast, and so forth.

To ensure the best possible performance of your new camera, make sure your computer complies with the system requirements specified by the manufacturer. Compatible OS include Mac, Linux, and Windows. A USB 2.0 port is required to establish a connection. If the software does not run on your computer, please contact us and specify your operating system and its version (for Linux: platform and kernel version).

The kit includes:

  • Levenhuk microscope digital camera
  • USB cable for connection to PC or laptop and power supply
  • Installation CD with Levenhuk image editing software and the required drivers

Questions and Answers
GENNARO (2019.11.04)
SALVE I HAVE PURCHASED THE M300 MODEL. PURTOPPO DOES NOT FIT WELL TO THE EYES OF MY MICROSCOPE. DO YOU THINK IF I HAVE ADAPTERS AVAILABLE?THANKS
Customer service:
Dear Gennaro, thank you for interest in Levenhuk products. Currently we do not have adapters in our product range but you can buy the adapter of any brand. Is there any additional information you might need?
Kristin (2019.09.20)
Hello, I have just purchased your M300 base camera and found that it fits on our light microscope but our dissecting scope has a larger diameter. Where can I find the adapter for this product as mentioned on 2019-08-26 to "Diego"?
Customer service:
Hi Kristin, Thanks for the query. There are plenty of these adapters available on Amazon. Just type in 'microscope camera adapter' and you should find them right away.
Ronan Maguire (2019.09.02)
The camera replaces the ocular lense but can the camera provide the same magnification as the ocular lense (i.e. 10X magnification)
Customer service:
Hi Ronan,
Thanks for the query. The digital camera itself does not have any magnification. The total magnification you get when you replace the ocular lense with the camera depends on the size of camera matrix in pixels as well as the objective lens's magnification.
Diego (2019.08.26)
If the eyepiece is 23mm diameter, how exactly should it fit in my microscope? Do you have the brands of microscopes that fits well?Another question: is any mobile app that could take the pictures and videos instead of the computer/laptop? Can I connect the USB directly to my phone?
Customer service:
Dear Diego, thank you for interest in Levenhuk products. The camera comes with aan eyepiece tube of 23.2mm diameter. It is a standard diameter. If you have a microscope of a different diameter, use a special adapter (sold separately) to install the camera. All Levenhuk cameras fit Levenhuk microscopes. What microscope do you have? The camera cannot be connected directly to the phone. Is there any additional information you might need?
Eric Wilkerson (2018.01.14)
If I get it right, the camera is installed in the upper part of the eyepiece tube instead of a 10x or 16x eyepiece. How can I calculate magnification of the microscope with the camera? Appreciate you help!
Customer service:
Magnification of the Levenhuk M300 BASE Digital Camera is 10x, so you will get the same magnification as you would have with a 10x eyepiece.
