Description

This telescope is an excellent beginner’s instrument and is designed for observing objects in the night sky as well as on land. It can be your personal window to the universe or allow you to intimately study the behavior of nesting birds on a distant hillside. The 102mm achromatic refracting telescope is designed for astronomers on the go. The Meade Model S102 Telescope provides the user with a 28% brighter and sharper image than a 90mm telescope! Easily navigate the sky with the included red-dot viewfinder and yoke-style mount with slow motion control.

Two eyepieces provide 25x and 73x magnifications with a 2x Barlow lens that doubles the magnification of each eyepiece for a wider range of observing possibilities. The kit also includes a 90° erect-image diagonal that makes looking through the scope more comfortable, especially when aiming the telescope directly overhead.

The diagonal's prism corrects images horizontally and vertically, thereby allowing the scope to be used as a conventional spotting scope for terrestrial viewing as well. A universal smartphone adapter enables you to capture photos and video of celestial and terrestrial subjects with ease.
