Galilean binoculars are classic devices with eyepieces only in their optical layout. There are no prisms in such binoculars and, therefore, they are light and compact. As a rule, today only opera glasses are made using the Galilean layout.
Galilean binoculars – perfect choice for a theatre fan
Binoculars assembled using the Galilean layout produce low magnification – usually 3x. This is, of course, insufficient for field or tourist binoculars, but it is best for a theatre – you will be able to see the faces of the actors, scenery and other spectators in the hall well. State-of-the-art Galilean binoculars use high-quality coated optics, which makes the image clear and bright.
